Melissa grew up in Townsville, completing her schooling at Ryan Catholic College. Upon finishing school, she initially studied Exercise Physiology at James Cook University, before shifting her interest to Physiotherapy and completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at JCU in 2021.

Throughout her studies, Melissa was involved with many local sporting groups as a Sports trainer, worked at NQPC as a receptionist and at The Mater Hospital as a Physiotherapy Assistant. In these roles, Melissa gained valuable experience across an array of settings including on the sporting fields, in the acute hospital setting and in the private sector.

Melissa enjoys treating all musculoskeletal conditions and is keen to deliver quality care to patients within the Townsville region.

In her spare time, Melissa enjoys playing Touch football and exploring the outdoors with her family.
