Kat is a registered psychologist who is passionate about assisting people develop self-confidence and to understand their own mental health.
Kat is passionate about developing a collaborative approach to therapy to assist clients to identify goals and strengths within themselves and to build upon them when faced with stressful situations. Kat has a background of professional experience within private practice and sporting teams with both men and women and uses evidence-based practices informed by DBT, Motivational Interviewing, ACT and EMDR to form individualised treatment plans with clients based on their needs and desired outcomes.
Kat has a keen interest in sports psychology and working with developing athletes and teams to enhance performance, cope with the pressure of competition and achieve their full potential. She has experience working with school and community based sporting teams with special interest in athlete welfare, athlete career transitions and building confidence to get athletes to where they want to go both in sport and life.
Additionally Kat is trained in Eye Movement and Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR).
