Stefan graduated from the University of Aberdeen (Scotland) with a Bachelors in Sport and Exercise Science in 2018. Following this, he obtained a Masters in Physiotherapy at Edinburgh Napier University (Scotland) in 2022. Stefan worked in the National Health Service (NHS) in Scotland for 2 years in an outpatient Musculo-skeletal role. During this time he was exposed to both acute and chronic conditions, such as sporting injuries, post operative or longstanding inflammatory aliments (fibromyalgia and ankylosing spondylitis). He is looking to progress his career internationally and joined the Restore Movement team in 2024 following a move from Scotland.

Stefan’s motto is ‘rest is rust and motion is lotion’ believing that participation in your hobbies in any capacity is better than none at all. Stefan’s objective is to work with you towards being pain-free whilst achieving your goals, and educating you along the way. Stefan enjoys hearing the story behind the patient to gain a holistic understanding of what the patient wants to get out of the sessions with him. Being healthy is not just about the physical side of the body, it also includes the mind, emotions and environment.

Stefan is an active practitioner and thoroughly enjoys bouldering, weightlifting and spending free time improving himself physical and mentally. Stefan spent his university years playing volleyball and was captain of the 1st team for 3 years. He is a PADI certified rescue scuba diver and has a keen interest in Rugby Union. Prior to his move to Melbourne, Stefan was one of the lead Physiotherapists at his local rugby club in Scotland. Stefan is looking to continue and progress his sporting interests in Australia.
