Kym O’Connor graduated from the University of Queensland in 2007 and has extensive experience in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy as well as Clinical Pilates. Kym has been a familiar face at the Red Hill Allsports Clinic since 2004. She has a hands-on approach to physiotherapy and utilises her wide range of skills whilst providing the client with the knowledge to assist them to self-manage their condition. She has done further study with Dance Medicine Australia and Studio Pilates as well as being a Level Two Sports Physiotherapist. Kym is experienced in the physiotherapy management of sports-related injuries after working on and off the field with the GPS Old Boys Rugby Union Club for 10 years.
Whilst Kym is dedicated to the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of all musculoskeletal conditions her special interests are in lumbopelvic stability, lower limb injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation of knee injuries. She is passionate about functional movement, exercise rehabilitation and maximising her client’s potential to achieve their goals. With experience treating musculoskeletal pain in the general population, elite athletes, weekend warriors, and rehabilitation programs through Clinical Pilates, she can work with any BODY. She believes that we all have the potential to live a life that is healthy and fulfilling. When not working, Kym’s passions include keeping fit and her two children.
