Meet Men’s Head Physiotherapist, Michael Wilson

Proudly leading the men’s high-performance physiotherapy division for Football Queensland, Mike has worked as a physiotherapist for the last seven years, graduating from the University of Queensland in 2011. Since then, Mike has been involved in providing excellence in physiotherapy care both in the clinic and to a wide variety of sporting organisations.

In 2015, he became the Head Physiotherapist to the Brisbane Roar Youth team, as well as Assistant Physiotherapist to the Brisbane Roar A-League Squad. His responsibilities also currently span across Queensland’s Youth Futsal teams and the Queensland Academy of Sport as Head Physiotherapist. He has most recently been appointed as part of the Physiotherapy High-Performance Unit to Guam’s National Football Team in their bid for an Asian Cup qualification, and Head Physiotherapist to the Cavendish Road Football Academy.

Meet Women’s Head Physiotherapist, Sep Rafiee

Proudly leading the women’s high-performance physiotherapy division for Football Queensland, Sep has worked as a physiotherapist for the last 18 years, graduating from the University of Queensland in 2000. He became the Head Physiotherapist to the Brisbane Roar in 2015, where he was an integral part of the High-Performance unit. His responsibilities spanned across an entire spectrum of elite players, where he successfully maintained a minimal soft tissue injury rate of less than half the A-League average, allowing the Roar to comfortably reach the finals in 2015 & 2016. He has most recently been appointed as Head Physiotherapist to Guam’s National Football Team in their bid for an Asian Cup qualification, and Head Physiotherapist to the Queensland Acadamy of Sports Women’s program.
