Jonathan has been with NQPC since graduating from James Cook University in 2008. Jon has been working with the North Queensland Cowboys since 2009 and has been the team Physiotherapist for the Townsville Blackhawks in the QLD Cup since 2017. Jon is also currently the Tonga Rugby League national team physiotherapist.
Clinic work remains a real passion for Jon, as he enjoys treating patients of all ages and backgrounds. Passion areas include treating athletes from all sports, providing post-op orthopaedic rehabilitation, as well as the challenging approach of chronic pain management. Jon has recently consulted to the NRL in developing and implementing an injury prevention warm-up program for all junior players across the country to perform. Jon frequently spends time as a clinical educator at James Cook University, providing lectures and workshops on different topics in physiotherapy for students.
Jon completed his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy through La Trobe University in 2016 and subsequently gained titled membership as an APA Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist. During this degree he undertook training at the AIS and WA Cricket. Jon also enjoyed the opportunity to spend time over at the ASPETAR Sports Medicine facility in Qatar working with some of the most respected researchers in the world.
