Scott is a dual APA tilted physiotherapist in both musculoskeletal and sport & exercise physiotherapy. This came after completing a Masters in Musculoskeletal and Sport Physiotherapy at Griffith University on the Gold Coast in 2018. He has been with our clinic since graduating from the University of Queensland, where he studied with a Bachelor of Human Movement Studies and then followed up with a Masters in Physiotherapy Studies. This was a return to Toowoomba where he previously had attended high school.
He has a specific interest in lower limb injuries, particularly around the knee and ankle. These are injuries he knows firsthand from many years of playing basketball at various levels. He has experienced the pain, frustration and hard work to return to sport that goes with significant injury after having an ankle reconstruction.
Over many years, Scott has worked with athletes from a wide variety of disciplines within the clinic environment from international to recreational level. Scott is currently the team physiotherapist for the Toowoomba Grammar School’s volleyball and basketball programs, and the Toowoomba Mountaineers QSL Men’s and Women’s teams. This position has required Scott to attend training and travel with the teams to games and on both domestic and international tours, to ensure adequate management of players.
